By replacing the heavy, cast-metal receivers of old-school LMGs with a heavy-duty, impact-resistant nylon-reinforced polymer receiver, Raven has created a full-sized squad automatic weapon that weighs in at a highly manoeuvrable 3.7 kg (approx. 8lbs).
