• Choosing Riser Height: The included low-profile 1-inch Hunter Rings sit close to the top rail. If you are mounting this airsoft scope on a standard M4/AR-15 platform or using full-face mesh masks, we recommend adding a 0.5" or 1" Picatinny riser block so you can comfortably align your eye without smashing your mask against the stock.
• Lens Protection is Vital: While Vortex scopes are shockproof and rugged, glass lenses can still chip under direct, point-blank BB hits. Always fit a 20mm rail-mounted acrylic lens shield or a honeycomb kill flash in front of the 40mm objective lens to keep your glass safe during CQB and woodland skirmishes.
• Levelling Your Reticle: When torquing down the ring screws onto your airsoft rifle, ensure the crosshairs sit perfectly plumb to your barrel. A canted reticle will cause BB hop-up to curve left or right over long distances.
