Based on the incredibly popular SG552 platform, the SG553 Plus features ground-up internal and external upgrades designed to turn this compact Swiss-style carbine into a dominant CQB machine.

What Makes the SG553 Plus Stand Out?

1. The Intelligent PLUS System (MCU & FET)

Traditional mechanical trigger switches burn out over time and suffer from sluggish trigger response. The SG553 Plus solves this by introducing a hybrid mechanical-FET switch. Coupled with a built-in Microcontroller Unit (MCU), this smart system actively monitors your battery, motor, and electronics.

2. High-Rigidity Reinforced Polymer Body

To keep the weight down while ensuring the rifle can take a beating on the field, Tokyo Marui has constructed the handguard, upper receiver, and lower receiver from a newly formulated reinforced polymer. This significantly reduces body flex and gives the rifle a incredibly solid, robust, and premium feel. It is finished in a low-gloss, matte black coating that mimics the real-steel Swiss arms beautifully.

3. Integrated 20mm Quad-Rail Handguard

No need to go searching for obscure mounting solutions. The SG553 Plus comes equipped with a lightweight four-sided Picatinny handguard. Combined with a full-length top receiver rail, you have ample space to mount optics, lasers, flashlights, and vertical grips without adding unnecessary bulk to your front end.

4. CQB-Optimized Folding Stock & Flip-Up Sights

The iconic folding stock reduces the rifle’s overall profile down to just 516mm. Fold it to manoeuvre through the tightest doorways, or deploy it (714mm total length) for a steady, accurate shoulder weld when engaging targets at mid-range. Folding flip-up iron sights tuck away seamlessly when running a red dot optic.

5. Transparent Magazine with Dummy Bullets

True to the classic SIG design, the included 40-round magazine is completely see-through and features highly detailed, realistic dummy 5.56mm cartridges inside. Plus, TM has redesigned the magazine follower to ensure absolutely flawless feeding down to the very last BB in the mag.
