The ARCHWICK Type A – Archwick Weapon System AR GBB Magazine is a premium aluminium gas blowback magazine engineered for Tokyo Marui MWS-pattern rifles and compatible clone platforms. Designed around reliability, thermal efficiency, and long-term durability, the Type A features a lightweight aluminium alloy body, increased 14g gas capacity, improved sealing technology, and multiple internal design upgrades that deliver more consistent performance in demanding conditions.

Engineered for Maximum Reliability

The Type A magazine incorporates several internal improvements over conventional aluminium GBB magazines. A re-engineered output valve provides smoother actuation to eliminate sticking and jamming commonly experienced by high-mileage OEM magazines, while an integrated Air-Seal Barrier improves gas consistency and pressure stability throughout the firing cycle.

Superior Thermal Performance

The lightweight aluminium alloy body is engineered with enhanced thermal conductivity, allowing the magazine to recover from cooldown more quickly than conventional aluminium magazines. Combined with a larger 14g gas capacity—approximately 17% greater than the original Tokyo Marui MWS magazine—the Type A delivers reliable cycling across a wide range of temperatures.

Built for Hard Use

Every Type A magazine is reinforced internally with an M5×135 structural screw that helps prevent pin-hole elongation and long-term deformation under heavy use. Weighing approximately 420g, the magazine is around 8% lighter than the original MWS magazine while maintaining exceptional structural rigidity and durability.

Tested Performance & Broad Compatibility

Archwick have done performance testing with an original Tokyo Marui MWS demonstrated consistent full bolt lock after firing 36 rounds in full-auto or 72 rounds in semi-auto using a full 14g gas charge. Stable operation was verified using both HFC-134A and Green Gas under temperatures ranging from 5°C to 38°C. Compatibility has also been confirmed with numerous MWS-based platforms including:
